Two ways to contribute to your team retirement
- A workplace pension plan. A fund manager runs it and the company contributes. A small company can join a simplified employment plan, usually its sector's. You do not take that plan out with us but with the manager.
- Or a pension insurance. A company pension insurance plan is a group policy with the same purpose, issued by an insurer. It is what we propose in writing as a broker.
- What the company decides. How much it contributes and for whom, under the plan rules.
What the company contributes to a company pension insurance is attributed to each insured person (art. 51.4.b of Law 35/2006), is subject to Social Security contributions and is a deductible expense in Corporate Income Tax (art. 14.2 of Law 27/2014). In addition, the company that sets it up as policyholder can deduct from its tax liability 10 % of what it contributes for people earning less than 27,000 euros gross a year, and the proportional part for the rest, within the joint limit on deductions of art. 39.1 (art. 38 ter of Law 27/2014). Each person reduces their income tax base by what is contributed up to 1,500 euros a year, plus up to 8,500 euros for company contributions (and for their own contributions to the same plan in the proportion set by law), without exceeding 30 % of their net income from work and economic activities (art. 52.1 of Law 35/2006). The reduction in Social Security contributions for company contributions applies only to workplace pension plans, not to this insurance (additional provision 47 of the General Social Security Law).
We are an insurance brokerage, not an insurer or a fund manager: today we propose the pension insurance in writing and, once it can be bought, we tell you and help you take it out.
